EXAMINATION OF AN ANTI-ALZHEIMER’S THERAPY
This research study
examines the safety and effectiveness of an oral therapy called a gamma
secretase inhibitor. The drug aims to block the production of Beta Amyloid—the
protein believed to be critical in Alzheimer’s disease. The study
involves 11 visits over 24 weeks and participants have an 80% chance
of receiving active medication and a 20% chance of receiving placebo.

The UCLA ADC seeks volunteers to participate in our research as we explore
new treatment possibilities for memory disorders, AD, and related dementias.
Answers can be found only with the participation of patients and their
family members. Some of these studies
involve experimental medication,
and some of these studies do not
involve medication. Please call us
if you would like more information about CLINICAL STUDIES at the UCLA
